First Day of Spring

My bulbs are just starting to peek out of the ground.

The tulips and daffodils are still only about an inch tall,

but I love that the little purple crocus flowers are blooming!

Happy St Patty's Day!

We started the day with GREEN SHAMROCK shaped pancakes -

which really looked like four big blobs stuck together!

But the kids were totally impressed... (that's what matters, right?)

The kids came home from school to find a trail of

GOLD leading them through the house...

(GOLD - twix, hershey's nuggets & any other candy wrapped in gold foil)

The trail led to a real treasure... LUCKY CHARMS cereal!

Marshmallow cereals are typically not found in our house -

So it really was a treat for the kids!

A quote from my 8 year old...

"Mom... you are the best human in the universe!"

I was stumped - I didn't know how to respond,

Was that a compliment?

This growing up business is strange at times.

Second Grade Concert...

These are possibly the most talented 2nd graders we've heard...

We had a great time watching them sing!!

Happy Birthday

For a while he was telling people he would be 35 this year... Today he is 34!

We all celebrate our birthdays in the winter...

This was our last party until the end of November rolls around again!

~ OK, so honestly... there was NO party...

He wants to have the basement finished before having a party!

Perhaps we'll have a party when he really turns 35.
